Because of our country’s climate, insect control in municipal and residential buildings is essential. Even if you install professional ventilation technology or use special narrow ventilation sashes, you may need to protect the patio doors and windows to keep out uninvited visitors. Almost everyone uses insect nets, so we are aware of their operational, surface and lifetime problems. The qualitatively crucial and thus striking features of this product range are the identical colour and mechanical connection, adapted to the host structure (mostly windows or doors), the static capacity of the insect net casing (and/or frame), the quality and material of the mesh, the load-bearing capacity and the lifetime of the moving structures.

The IGI family of insect nets offers opening, rolling, fixed (with multiple mounting methods) and sliding (up to multiple sashes) designs:

• The roller insect nets are manufactured with a draught-proof design as standard, and are equipped with automatic braking to protect the user while the net is rolled back. The end position can be achieved with a comfortable yet secure fastening, but releasing it is also child’s play; it won’t break the user’s nails.
Attention! For technical reasons, the 4PLUS mesh type cannot be used with roller operation!

• In the Schlotterer IGI family, fixed nets are available in several designs. The range starts from the traditional (of course exclusively) aluminium frames that can be mounted from the outside, but also includes everything from the slim fixed frame that can be mounted from the inside with an ingenious spring-loaded stainless steel mechanism (hook-in) to the extra narrow version that can be retrofitted, even under a third-party roller shutters. In-house product development gives the customer the assurance that there will be no complaints about the products, not even after 15 years.

• Schlotterer’s IGI sliding sash system has the biggest advantages over its competitors. It works with sash profiles and a rail system with unique inertia that can provide insect protection for free openings of large lift-and-slide glass walls, without horizontal mullions obstructing the view! Multiple rail versions can be installed and operated as well.

• The quality and minimalist design of Schlotterer’s opening insect net doors make us forget the “shock” caused by the other products available on the Hungarian market. This technically unquestionable door is a marvel integrated in a narrow, yet sturdy, frame, with a powder-coated aluminium spring plate, handle and a host of optional accessories. Its durable iron fittings promise a long service life and its operation is delicate and sophisticated.

– With the exception of a few IGI types, most people choose the popular 4PLUS special woven mesh type because it not only provides professional insect protection, but also pollen filtration and 31% more light and 124% better air permeability than traditional grey PVC mesh.

– In the event of damage to the fabric of IGI insect nets – due to accidents or smoking – the product can be repaired (or replaced) quickly by our service department. Supplying spare parts for Schlotterer shades and insect nets is very fast, even by European standards.

– Thanks to the unique (Schlotterer factory) surface treatment, IGI products can be ordered in the same structure, colour and finish as aluminium or steel doors and windows. Thanks to this, there is no need to compromise on aesthetics for later needs, as colour identity (reordering) is available for all Schlotterer products.
